Hi Everyone, I may have mentioned this in my last update, but the expectation was to slow things down over the next year or so, with a focus on starting to raise funds for our next Major Trip to connect all 4 cities, as well as some of the surrounding areas (for those reading the newsletter for the first time, these cities include Duluth, MN, Virginia Beach, VA, New Orleans, LA, and San Francisco, CA. These are gateway cities that multiple people, including myself, have been led to pray over and visit from time to time). A couple of people have already prophesied this over me, and I’m excited to see the places and people that God will put in my path when this comes to pass.
That being said, God’s plans are not our plans, and over the last 3 months, I was led to revisit 2 of the 4 cities that God has laid on my heart – Duluth, MN, and New Orleans, LA.
Duluth
In mid-December, I had a dream about the House of Refuge in Duluth, MN. This place was the 1st of the 4 cities that God has really laid on my heart. The dream was a long one, but to simplify it, I had a word to give to Gumby. After researching this a little more, a “Gumby” is a novice mountain climber, and not just the cartoon. After praying about when to go, the House of Refuge has a service called Friday Night Fire, which is held on the first Friday of every month.
This resonates with me, because the first time that I went to Duluth with Bill Ness, our mission was to “Start a Fire in Duluth.”
So on January 3rd, 2025, I took my family to Duluth and attended this service with the hope of giving the message to whoever needed to hear it. After making these plans, I found out that Teen Challenge is the group who runs this evening service, and many people in Teen Challenge would be considered to be novice believers.
After service ended, I was able to share the word to everyone there, as the word was for all of them. The word was simply this… “You are a True Leader in the Lord, and do not doubt that!!!” I was also able to minister to a couple people who came up for prayer after service, which I always consider to be a highlight of the trip.
Another thing to bring up about this trip is that sometimes in life, you may not know the impact of your obedience until we get to heaven. On this trip, it was a blessing to see how the seeds that were planted in 2021 grew into what has manifested in 2025. The speaker who gave his testimony got in trouble with the law right around the time that Bill and I went to Duluth, and shortly after this time, he started Teen Challenge. I also found out that the Friday Night Fire services were started in the Summer of 2021 as well.
Another cool thing that I found out was that the speaker had some Detroit gear on. When I asked him about this, he mentioned that he was from a small town in Michigan called Rogers City!!! He was shocked when he found out I was from Cheboygan.
New Orleans
The direction for this trip was also started in December of 2024. I was visiting some family when someone asked about who was doing the Super Bowl Halftime Show. I googled it and seen that it was Kendrick Lamar. Before I could get that information though, I seen multiple headlines about the Super Bowl being in New Orleans. I’ve seen events in New Orleans before, but this time my Spirit leaped. I definitely needed some confirmation, so I simply prayed to myself, “Lord, if you are wanting me to go back to New Orleans, please don’t let this go in my Spirit.” For the next couple days, my mind kept coming back to this, and then New Year’s Day hit with Breaking News. Bourbon Street had been attacked!!!
My Spirit inside me wept for them. I’ve only been to New Orleans twice, and I’ve only prayed over the city once. But when I heard the news, it felt like it was my hometown that had been attacked. During the news cycles that I was listening to, every one of them mentioned the concern of security for the Super Bowl, and that action needed to be taken for this event to be safe. It didn’t take much longer for me to realize that I needed to go down and pray for this exact thing.
My mission to go consisted of two things. Primarily, I was to go and pray for protection over the Super Bowl (to be clear, we did not actually attend the Super Bowl), and with any security that would let me. The second was that the House of Prayer Church in New Orleans had recently changed its leadership, and the pastor needed some encouragement.
Bill Ness had once told me that we both had unfinished business in New Orleans, so I was pretty sure that he was to go with me. I felt that we needed a third, and the Lord led me to reach out to Richard VerHeecken. After praying about it, he agreed that he needed to go and be a witness to what we were doing.
On the way down, we were blessed to go to the annual Prophetic Summit at the Oasis Church in Middletown, Ohio. The Spirit moved in mighty ways, and I encourage anyone who has not listened to it to do so. The Lord also led us to go to the Red River Meeting House in Kentucky, which was on the way. The meeting that was held here in 1800 was the meeting that is believed to spark the Second Great Awakening. On a personal note, the three of us were able to experience a Buc-ees store for the first time. It was definitely an experience!!!
When we got to New Orleans, I could feel the Spiritual Atmosphere shift. It’s a little hard to explain, but I felt a confidence that I was where I needed to be, and that the Lord would be with me. On the way to the Stadium, we walked by City Hall, so we took a couple minutes to pray over the Government Authority there, along with the Justice system.
It was about 9 AM when we arrived, and the gates did not open until 1:30, but the place was already packed with security and people enjoying morning tailgates for the big game. As I seen security, I would simply tell them that I was sent to pray over their protection, and asked if I could pray with them. 95% of the people I asked were open for prayer. These groups consisted of volunteers, military, government officials, and local police. The story that I most took away with me was when 10–15 TSA Agents took a break to get some coffee from the local stand and walked past me. I stopped them and asked if they would like prayer today. At first they weren’t sure, but someone in plain clothes (Undercover Agent maybe), said absolutely and rallied them all into a huddle. Right then and there, I was able to lay hands and pray over all of these agents… for supernatural clarity, energy, discernment, and to be safe today. Afterward, their countenance and their demeanor changed, and they were ready to face the day, with one person saying, “You heard the man, let’s be sharp out there.”
Once this assignment was done, it was time to attend services at House of Prayer Church. After listening to the message, it was apparent that the new pastor, Pastor Alon, had a deep love and appreciation for his flock. Bill and I were able to spend a good 10–15 minutes afterward to encourage him and give him our contact info if he needed prayer for anything going on in his life.
As with most of the prayer walks I go on, it flies by, but it is always a blessing.
I want to personally thank each person who has given to our National Missions trips, and also to pray about becoming a one-time or monthly supporter. Your support is bearing fruit, and lives and spiritual atmospheres are being changed for the better.
God Bless You All!!!
