A Prayer Journey Through the San Francisco Bay

When Bill and I began Blind Faith Ministries, we didn’t realize that the official start of this ministry would be based off a National Mission.

In November 2020, I was sitting in my living room when the Lord spoke to me and stated that I needed to go to Washington DC on Thanksgiving and pray over the capitol. When I asked who should go with me, Bill was the answer the Lord gave me.

Being one who loves to travel, I knew that confirmation would be that Bill would have nothing going on for Thanksgiving that year. I called Bill, he confirmed that he had no plans for Thanksgiving that year on Thanksgiving day, and the rest was history.

Shortly after this trip, I was in Drummond Island, where Daniel Hintz spoke of a man called to America from Uganda. He was called to four gateway cities, which were Duluth, MN, Virginia Beach, VA, New Orleans, LA, and San Francisco, CA. As Daniel was talking about this, I heard the Lord tell me that I would go to these four cities as well.

On November 21, 2024, my journey to these four cities has been complete after returning home from San Francisco. In future articles, I may go into more detail about the other three cities, but in this article I want to focus on what was prayed over in San Francisco itself.

San Francisco is a Spanish name, recognizing Saint Francis of Assisi. From the news lately, San Francisco has not been known for its saintly activities. Rather, it has been recognized for its crime, homeless population, and other things that have defiled the city.

I knew that the Lord wanted me to go to this city, not only because it was one of the four cities, but because this is comparably my Nineveh. Most places that I have been to in my travels with the Lord, are places that have generally been the desire of my heart. This is a place that because of its crime and defilement, I have had no worldly desire to go there, however it has been a burning spiritual desire to go.

All joking aside, I was very glad that the Lord led me to this place to pray, and I do look forward to seeing the fruit manifest from this trip.

In each spot that I traveled, I took some time to pray in the Spirit, and really ask what the Lord specifically wanted me to pray over a certain area. The main theme that was given to me was restoration of the land.

I was led to pray over the defilement in the land, and to restore the light that has faded in San Francisco. I also was led to pray the Prayer of Saint Francis, which is:

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace: where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
I also declared:
““The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.””
Luke 4:18-19 NIV

I also prayed that laborers would be sent into this area to minister to the lost, and the angels would ascend in descend up upon the San Francisco Bay area.

When I came to San Francisco, I was directed by the Lord to not just pray over San Francisco, but the entire San Francisco Bay. The bay area makes up many cities, including San Francisco, San Rafael, Oakland, Berkeley, San Jose, along with many other sub cities in between.

Because of this, I rented a vehicle and drove around the entire bay, praying where the Lord had me stop to pray. As I was driving, I prayed in the spirit where led, and ultimately, I stopped in three locations.

The first location was Pier 39, which is a big tourist stop for many people visiting San Francisco. While here, I was led to pray over this place being a safe harbor for those traveling through.

The second location were salt ponds in the southern San Francisco Bay area near San Jose. This location floods in the spring, but as the water recedes, it leaves all of the salt behind, and as a result, a desolate place which, while it looks pretty, leaves the land worthless for any development or building. This place for me represents a physical idea of what has been happening here spiritually. I was really led to pray in this location for restoration of the things that were spiritually desolated and defiled.

The third location I was led to pray was actually at the hotel that I stayed at, which was right on the bay. I prayed over this spot shortly before taking the shuttle back to the airport. I should mention that torrential rain had been happening and continued to happen after I left. That morning, there was a break in the clouds, however, it was still raining. This caused a rainbow to form over the bay, which reminded me of God’s covenant with Noah that he will not destroy the Earth again by rain. It was here that I thanked the Lord for the work already beginning to take place, and for his faithfulness in sending me to the cities he has sent me to. I then prayed that angels would ascend and descend upon the bay area and for the light to overshadow the dark.

A cool thing to me was that my flight came in and out directly over the San Francisco Bay. Noticing this, I also prayed while physically ascended over the bay, while flying in and out of the airport.

After the trip, and having time to reflect upon the journey to San Francisco, the Lord was really able to show me His love for His people. While the people and spiritual activities here have once defiled the area, God has shown me that he is not yet abandoned San Francisco to its fate. There is a remnant here that I believe will rise, and when it does, I can’t wait to hear about it.

While this chapter has closed, I definitely believe and anticipate more trips in the future. It is already been prophesied that I will revisit these 4 cities at least one more time, with a mission of taking a road trip to connect these cities together. I’m more than willing to go back to these places, with my answer to God being, “Here I am, Send me.”

God is not done with this country, and I hope that everyone reading this agrees with that as well. I ask for prayers that God will continue to work, not only in just these four cities, but in the entire nation as there is always more work to be done For the cause of Jesus. I also ask for prayers that God will continue to provide for the future trips He has called me to.

God Bless You All!!!
