Every other Sunday, between church services, Luis Mendez and his wonderful wife Irma, prepare a meal. A meal that they will drive to deliver. A few years ago, they would drive through the poor bario of San Antonio, Yoro, Honduras, delivering meals to each house.
After a while of doing this, they discovered, Olga Idalia Aguilar, at the Glorias de Salvation evangelical ministry, was already gathering the children to read them Bible stories and do activities. Perfect match! So as Olga does the Christian education, Luis and Irma supply the lunch.
While Blind Faith Ministries was visiting, spaghetti was on the menue. An inexpensive but filling meal that the children love. I say, I totally enjoyed seeing all those children with spaghetti sauce smiles. It was so cute.
We also brought along some Barbies and Beanie Babys to hand out as children correctly answered questions about their study that day, or scripture memory verses they had been learning.
